The Platzlhof is located in the heart of the Zillertal, in Ried. In winter, you board the ski bus right outside the hotel and reach the Hochzillertal base station in Kaltenbach in just under 10 minutes. In summer, the Zillertal High Road (Zillertaler Höhenstraße) starts right at our doorstep and takes you all the way up to our Platzlalm at 1,790 m.
Summer in the Zillertal has a lot to offer: cool mountain air, hiking trails of every length and cycling routes from the valley floor up into the mountains. To cool off, our outdoor pool awaits. Who needs the sea anyway? ;-)
Winter wonderland Zillertal: from ski slopes and sledding runs to winter hiking trails. The ski bus stops right outside the hotel, and the gondola is just a short ride away. On top of that: snow-covered landscapes and quiet days away from the slopes.
Our home is full of special places. From our favourite walk that starts right at the hotel to our favourite e-bike tour and the occasional insider tip: we don't want to keep these places to ourselves. In our blog, you'll find news from the Platzlhof as well as our favourite spots.
