Regional cuisine in the heart of the Zillertal

The Zillertal is a region where people live close to nature and where a wide variety of produce grows right on the doorstep. That variety is what ends up on your plate: we cook mainly with regional produce and keep delivery routes as short as possible.

The meat for our dishes comes from our trusted local butcher and from the farms of the owner's old school friends. Around here, people know each other and know where their food comes from. Vegetarian, traditional Tyrolean or Mediterranean-inspired: we'd love to share our own creations with everyone. That's why our à la carte restaurant is open not only to hotel guests but to all visitors to the Platzlhof.

Breakfast at Platzlhof

Whether you like to sleep in or be first on the slopes, both work here! Our breakfast buffet offers a wide choice of breads, hot dishes, quality cold cuts and a hearty selection of cheeses. A guest favourite is host Michael's homemade "Fleischkas", a traditional Tyrolean meat loaf. Our dairy products come from the Zillertaler Sennerei, the jams and honey from the long-established Tyrolean company Darbo, and the compotes and yoghurt drink are made in-house.

You'll also find a choice of cereals, fresh fruit salad and a sweet counter. And there's a juicer, so you can press your own fresh juice in the morning. Enjoy your breakfast and get a taste of what the Zillertal has to offer.

Half board, our way

Every dish is a piece of craftsmanship: Michael, a trained butcher, takes care of sourcing and preparation, while his kitchen team led by sous-chef Richard Haun handles the rest. Our meat comes from our trusted local butcher and from farms in the neighbourhood.

You start at the salad and starter buffet, and we serve soup, main course and dessert at your table. You choose your main course at breakfast from three dishes.

Dinner is served from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Your table is reserved for you for your entire stay.

Our à la carte restaurant

The à la carte restaurant at the Platzlhof is open not only to hotel guests but to anyone who would like to stop by. The menu features Tyrolean classics, Mediterranean-inspired dishes and vegetarian options. Wherever possible, we cook with ingredients from the region.

For dinner, please book a table on +43 5283 2338. Hot food is served all day, with a smaller menu in the afternoon.
