Dear guests, we are very pleased that you decided to visit our house. You spend “your most beautiful moments” with us, the Wimpissinger family! That’s why we would like to tell you a little bit more of our Platzlhof.
It all started back in 1967, when our father Karl met our mum Anni at the Zillertalerhof. She was a waitress there, but only until she married Karl and came to the Platzlhof. At that time the Platzlhof was a small bed and breakfast of our grandma.
1969 I was born and in 1971 my little brother Michael. In this year they also wanted to modernize the cowshed. But it was also the time of the tourism and so instead of updating the cowshed, the bed and breakfast was extended. Mum Anni served and cooked together with grandma, father Karl run the bar.
But there was also a little time for the private life and 1976 my brother Martin, today the host of the Platzlalm, was born. After many years and hours of work, in 1978 the farmhouse was torn down and expanded to the Platzlhof with 70 beds. Already a small sensation at that time: in every room you could find a toilet! Everyone in the valley said the guys from Platzlhof were crazy. With a lot of hard work over the years the Platzlhof has developed to what it is today: a warm place where everything is a little bit more personal.
